What is It?

EMPOWERING EDUCATION, sponsored by Roadside Chapel, has been created to help our local education community--providing resources, learning opportunities, and support for students, guardians, and teachers.

Our goal is to create opportunities for children to learn...parents to find support...and both to enjoy the educational process throughout this unsettled time.

One way to get connected is becoming a part of our Facebook community:

Weekly Events

Empowering Education Thursdays

Starting in October, Empowering Education hopes to offer a once-a-week opportunity for you and your student to come and be encouraged, empowered, and enriched!  We will have education majors and specialists on hand to help you and your student work through areas they are struggling with in their studies.

We hope to create an environment for you to spend time with other parents who are maneuvering the same struggles and adventures that come with this unprecedented school year, while helping your student excel in thir studies and have time to socialize with others their own age.

We hope you can join us for the kick off event, October 1st, at Roadside Chapel, 1680 Town Line Road, Rutland.

Monthly Events

Empowering Education's LEARNING ADVENTURES are open to all families.  We plan on having one adventure per month (both virtually and in-person).  These 8 evenets coincide with the 8 reporting topics required for homeschoolers.  After completing an event, your student will receive a certificate of completion for their participation, which can be used in your "End of Year Assessment" if you are homeschooling.  If your student completes all 8 events, you will finish the school year with one proof/sample for each topic.

Our first event is a FREE field trip to ECHO Leahy Center.

September 3, 10 AM to 11:30 AM.
